All about Zakynthos

Petroperdika aka Rock Partridge is a native partridge species found in Greece and the Ionian Islands. However, the picture of its population in recent years is not clear. In Meganisi there was the largest record during the 19th century. The threats are the over-predation for its meat, the hybridization with the foreign Island Partridge but also the loss or degradation of its environment.
