All about Zakynthos

The bust of the Radical politician Konstantinos Lombardos (1820 - 1888) has been placed in front of the building of the former administration building, which houses the Region offices. It was originally placed on Solomou Square. It is the work of the sculptor Georgios Georgiou (1916-2002) and was built on the initiative of the prefect Dimitrios Sabatakakis and a fundraising committee in 1951, which collected money from within and outside Zakynthos. The bust's pedestal bears the name of the person depicted.It is framed on a tall stake and resembles the type of the hermes columns, without the head being congruent with the stake. The figure is rendered simply, frontally.
