All about Zakynthos

The church of Saint Anthony of Andritsis, in the city of Zakynthos, no longer exists... It was irreversibly destroyed during the terrible Earthquake and Fire of 1953... Thus, the annual festival of the Great Ascetic Anthony, and Professor of the Desert, is modestly celebrated in Parish Church of the Ascension and Saints of Forty Town. There is preserved, placed in the iconostasis, the imposing and famous Icon of the Saint, which was saved from the Great Destruction.
