All about Zakynthos

The mansion of the Makris family was in the late 16th century a seaside mansion, which even had its own repertoire.

It was in this mansion that he spent the last days of his life and where Saint Dionysius slept on 17 December 1622.

In one of the rooms of the mansion, the bed of Saint Dionysius and a Byzantine bed that belonged to him were preserved until August 1953.

The library of the mansion contained the personal archive of Saint Dionysius and his latent text "Hermeneutic commentaries on the works of Gregory of Nazianzus".
