All about Zakynthos

The Folklore Museum Vertzageio, located in the village of Pigadakia, is a reconstruction of a traditional Zakynthian house, with the furniture and utilitarian objects of the pre-earthquake era. The rooms of the house: the bedroom, the living room, the kitchen and the dining room are represented exactly as they were, with all the tools for cooking, grinding and daily tasks. Also on display are old newspaper covers, coins, maps and school desks. Outside are agricultural machines once used for grinding wheat, pressing grapes and crushing olives.
