In the courtyard of the church of Analipseos (Ascension), the area where the seminary was located, in 2006 a marble bust of the scholar, revolutionary priest Antonios Martelaos (1754 - 1818) was placed, the work of the sculptor Kostas Dikefalos (1956 - ). Martelaos was known as the teacher of Solomos, Foskolos, Tertsetis, Matesis and the children of Theodoros Kolokotronis. He wrote the thurion: From where you are of the Greeks old and manly, bones scattered, now take your breath...", which many believe had influenced Solomon when he wrote "Hymn to Freedom". He also spearheaded the burning of the "Golden Bible" of the nobles, with the coming of the French Republicans, on July 30, 1797, in St. Mark's Square.
